Manure mixers from SUMA
Any type of manure storage system can be provided with mixing options. Depending on the type of fertilizer, you can have the storage mixed. But in many cases it is more sensible (because of the levels in the manure) to keep the mixing in your own hands.
PAS supplies mixers of the SUMA brand for manure basins, manure bags, silos and cellars. This varies from submersible mixers on a guide rod to more than 10 meters long mixers through an embankment. We also supply and assemble parts and repair all other types of mixers such as Buschmann and Reck.
Which type of mixer is suitable?
To know which type of mixer is suitable for your storage system, it is important to know what kind of manure to mix, the amount of manure and of course the height and diameter of the silo.
For this we supply various types of mixers:
- Mixer through the silo wall
A PTO mixer is placed through the silo wall. Inside the silo, the mixer is fixed to the concrete floor or a concrete slab. The 45 ° bucket can optionally be operated with a rotary rod outside the silo. - Mixer through the slope
A 10 meter (or longer) mixer is placed through the slope of a foil basin / manure bag and sealed with a sleeve attached to the foils. Mounted on a concrete slab, it is skewed through the slope in order to obtain the optimal back-up. - Mixer over the slope
In existing basins it is quite easy to place a mixer over the slope. By creating a ramp at dike height, a tractor can easily reach it.
Immersion mixer in a slurry bag
The guide tube with the mixer is placed on a concrete slab in the middle of the manure bag. This can be rotated 360 °. - Immersion mixer on the inside of the silo
The immersion mixer is placed on a guide tube, the same height as the silo wall. This can be up and down, but also turned to mix the manure around.
The mixers can be supplied electrically or PTO driven. The type of mixer, the capacity, the meter box connections and which type of tractor must be taken into account.
SUMA manure mixers
The SUMA mixers are characterized by simplicity and reliability. The SUMA manure mixers are used by us in silos and through the slope in manure basins and manure bags. The manure mixers are PTO or electrically driven.
SUMA Z3
The SUMA mixer Z3 is characterized by ease of use. The mixer achieves a high capacity due to propellers of 66 cm. Thanks to the unique bearings, it is also possible to work at 1000 revolutions per minute. The unique construction makes maintenance user-friendly.

SUMA Z4
With this fertilizer mixer you have the same advantages as with the Z3. This mixer is heavier for higher powers and longer mixer lengths.

These mixers are used in all types of silos, basins and manure bags. For silos with diameters up to 30 meters, this mixer is extremely suitable for getting the manure homogeneous.
SUMA mixer : assembly
We can easily install a mixer in every new manure storage, as well as in existing manure storage systems.
Normally, a manure storage system must be cleanly empty to be able to mount a mixer. In some cases, however, we can also lower a mixer or install a mixing hatch with the correct protective equipment when the foil basin is filled.
In the case of new silos, manure bags or manure basins to be built, a recess is made in the wall or slope to guide the mixer pipe during construction.
The mixer pipe is mounted in a feed-through in the wall. In concrete silos, the mixer is ‘suspended’ in the wall and supported on the outside in a concrete slab poured on site. The silo is closed again by means of rubber seals.
In foil silos, the mixer is also supported on the inside on a concrete slab and provided with a protective basket. This prevents the floating cover or foil from getting into the mixer.
Buschmann manuremixer
The Buschmann manure mixers are used in concrete silos. This mixer is unique because the mixer tube (which is mounted at an angle of 45 °) can be rotated 360 °. All flow directions are therefore possible.

Mixers: let it mix
It is of course also possible to place a mixing facility (mixing hatch / mixing frame) in the cover. This can be done in a floating deck, but also in the top cover of a manure basin or in a manure bag. This allows you to have the manure mixed by a truck or crane with a mobile mixer.
We always recommend installing an (extra) mixing facility in foil basins and manure bags. If it is not possible to get all the manure homogeneous with your own mixer or if certain corners are not accessible for the mixer, you always have the freedom to have a mixing company come to ‘pre-mix’ the storage.
Depending on the size and content of the storage, we can choose to install two or more mixing hatches.
