A floating deck is a cheap cover for any type of silo
The ideal and inexpensive cover for every type of silo! Legally, a manure storage system must be covered. A floating deck can be installed on (almost) any type of silo, both new and existing.
The biggest advantage of a floating deck is that no load is placed on the silo wall. A floating deck is cheap, but requires a little more attention and maintenance. For example, the water has to be pumped off.
Dimensions and possibilities
The floating deck is available in all possible sizes and diameters and is therefore suitable for any type of silo.
The floating deck is made of reinforced (non-stretchable) PVC of 900 gr / m2. The hood can be placed perfectly on both new and existing silos.
The floating deck can be fitted with mixing hatches to allow the silo to be mixed and emptied (with the suction arm). The floating deck has a warranty period of 5 years and is approved for 10 years (after installation) in accordance with KIWA.

PAS Floating Deck: Assembly
A floating deck can be mounted inside the silo or outside the silo. When the floating cover is mounted inside the silo, the silo must be empty and clean.
The floating cover is a tarpaulin of PVC reinforced foil (900gr / m²) on which an impact-resistant PVC tube of Ø 160mm is mounted. Curved in the diameter of the silo. The cloth is then tensioned around this tube and tensioned by stainless steel carabiners, strap and stainless steel ratchets. The floats and possibly the mixing hatch are cut from above and fixed to the carpet with strips / screws.
If we choose to mount a floating cover outside the silo, it will be lifted into the silo by means of a (tele) crane. The biggest advantage of this is that the silo does not have to be empty.
