Manure silo inspection safe and reliable according to KIWA and BRL2344
Municipalities and insurance companies require approval for your manure storage system and/or cover. The inspection of the manure silo must comply with the so-called KIWA guideline.
The inspections of PAS manure storage systems are carried out by one of our three inspectors. Your manure silo, manure bag, manure basin or cover will be inspected in accordance with the KIWA guidelines for Manure Storage Systems and Covers:
- Concrete silos
- Steel silos
- Silos with inner cover/lining
- Wooden silos
- Foil basins / manure bags
- All types of covers
PAS Manure Storage Systems is one of the few that is allowed to inspect all types of systems and covers.

KIWA Keuring: step by step
In the past there have been accidents with manure storage systems, but unfortunately also with people. As a result, municipalities and insurance companies require an official inspection of the condition of the silo. With a new reference period, the silo is found to be good again for a (number of) year(s).
In all cases, the inspection of a manure storage takes place externally. Steel silos must also be inspected internally after the reference period.
After certified cleaning and an independent gas measurement, we inspect the steel manure silo internally.
In this case, our inspector enters the silo with breathing air and checks the condition of the storage. In that case, we always come with two people. A second employee is on duty to check in case of calamities.
