With more than 40 years of experience, the Appel concrete manure silo can no longer be ignored in modern livestock farming. Concrete is the most durable form for manure storage, virtually no maintenance and insensitive to any damage.

De Appel concrete manure silo is a Dutch manufacture and is fully KIWA certified. The prefabricated elements guarantee you a silo that is produced under the most ideal factory conditions.

Dimensions and possibilities

The concrete manure silo is available in volumes from 400 m³ to approx. 5,000 m³ and in heights of 4, 5 or 6 meters. The diameters vary from ø11.80m to ø35.90m. The size and content is tailored to the wishes of you and your company.

The silo is standard equipped with a 6 ”filling / removal station and a PVC KIWA pressure pipe of ø315 mm underground. You can choose to expand this with an 8 “connection and a separate adapter to 6”. But also consider a return line to the pit, a ø160mm filling line with shut-off valve and electric or PTO driven mixers.

Assembly

A few weeks after the piping and the pouring of the thick concrete floor, the manure silo is assembled element by element by our experienced technicians.

After placing the elements, they are sealed vertically and horizontally with SIKA TX + fertilizer-resistant sealant on the inside of the silo. The silo is assembled with galvanized belts that keep the silo under tension. The outside is poured with a concrete edge of 30 cm wide and 10 cm high.

In addition, the silo is provided with a PVC tensioned cover with two mixholes.
